Terms of Service

Welcome to Vikings Don’t Cry (VDC). By visiting our website or booking any experience, you agree to the terms below. If you have any questions, email haley@vikingsdontcry.com.
1. Experiences & Booking
1.1 Forge Sessions — Bookings are secured through the site. Participants must be 14+; under 18s require a parent or guardian to sign the liability waiver on site.
1.2 Group Bookings — Reservations are confirmed once VDC has communicated that you are confirmed.
1.3 Throne of Swords Photo Ops — Booked through the website at Once Upon a Photo Studios. These are typically scheduled further in advance, and VDC has no say in scheduling a shoot.
All experiences are subject to availability and must be booked in advance.
2. Payments, Deposits, & Pricing
2.1 Prices are shown in USD and do not include taxes or third-party processing fees. 2.2 VDC reserves the right to update pricing at any time; existing confirmed bookings will not be affected. 2.3 A nonrefundable deposit, in the amount shown at checkout, may be required to secure a group or special session. Balance is due on or before the session date.
3. Cancellation & Rescheduling
3.1 Customer-initiated cancellations made 48 or more hours before the scheduled time may be rescheduled once at no cost. 3.2 Cancellations made less than 48 hours before a session, or no shows, forfeit the cost. 3.3 Large group events require 14 days’ notice for rescheduling; cancellations inside 14 days forfeit the deposit unless otherwise agreed in writing. 3.4 VDC may cancel or postpone any experience due to unsafe weather, equipment failure, illness, or other events. If VDC cancels, you may choose a full refund or a new date.
4. Participant Safety & Conduct
4.1 Safety first. All participants must follow staff instructions, wear required PPE, and sign a liability waiver before entering the forge or axe-throw area. Minors ages 14–17 must have a parent or guardian present to sign. 4.2 VDC may refuse service to anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or whose behavior endangers others. No refunds will be issued in that situation. 4.3 Damage to VDC property caused by negligence or misconduct will be billed to the responsible party. 4.4 You acknowledge that our experiences involve physical activity, high heat, tools, and potential risks. Participation is at your own risk.
6. Intellectual Property
All site content, including text, photos, videos, logos, and designs, is owned by VDC or its licensors. You may not reproduce or redistribute any content without written permission.
7. Photos & Media
By participating in any forge activity, you grant Vikings Don’t Cry the right to use photos or videos taken during your experience for marketing or promotional purposes, unless you request otherwise in writing.
8. Refunds
All refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. In general, refunds will not be issued for completed sessions. Partial refunds may be granted for rescheduled events that cannot be rebooked.
9. Privacy

10. Third-Party Services
Some experiences, like photo sessions, may be booked through Once Upon a Photo Studios at onceuponaphotostudios.com/privacypolicy, or through Airbnb Experiences. Please refer to their individual terms for refund and privacy policies.
11. Limitation of Liability
Participation in forging, axe throwing, archery, or use of any equipment is at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, VDC’s total liability for any claim arising from your visit will not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located nearest to Madison County, NC.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our site or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
