Who we are
In May 2013, we acquired a charming farm in Mars Hill, NC, Jeremy, our founder’s hometown. As a proud seventh-generation resident of Madison County, it's a joy to raise our children where Jeremy's family has deep historical roots, dating back over 200 years.
Our profound connection to the Appalachian Mountains ignited Jeremy's passion to explore his lineage. We traced his ancestry from Mars Hill to Virginia, and then back to Scotland. This journey led Jeremy to join the Scottish Clan Ramsay, inspired by discovering relatives at The Grandfather Mountain Highland Games. Delving into the Ramsay genealogy revealed Jeremy's descent from William the Conqueror, a direct descendant of the renowned Viking Rollo.
This revelation, that Viking blood flows in our family, gave rise to Jeremy's motto: "Vikings Don't Cry."
This phrase isn't about suppressing emotions, but rather a call to embrace bravery, hard work, and resilience.
It's a mantra we instill in our children, and now, we're excited to share this spirit through our "Vikings Don't Cry" brand, a celebration of our heritage and values.
