Welcome to Vikings Don't Cry (VDC). By visiting our website, booking any experience, renting Quiver Full Farm, or purchasing Skaldwear merch, you agree to the terms below. If you have any questions, email [email protected].

1. Experiences & Booking

1.1 Forge Sessions - Bookings are secured through Airbnb or direct invoice. Participants must be 14+ (under 18s require a parent or guardian to sign the liability waiver on site).

1.2 Farm Rentals & Group Bookings - Reservations are confirmed once VDC issues a written invoice and receives the required deposit.

1.3 Throne of Swords Photo Ops - May be added to any booking if schedule and staffing allow. These are typically scheduled as full portrait days or at events or festivals.

1.4 Merchandise - Skaldwear products are printed on-demand; all sales are final unless the item is defective on arrival.

All experiences are subject to availability and must be booked in advance.

2. Payments, Deposits, & Pricing

2.1 Prices are shown in USD and do not include taxes or third-party processing fees.

2.2 VDC reserves the right to update pricing at any time; existing confirmed bookings will not be affected.

2.3 Deposits - A nonrefundable deposit (amount shown at checkout) is required to secure a date. Balance is due on or before the session/rental date.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling

3.1 Customer-initiated cancellations (forge sessions or photo ops) made 48 or more hours before the scheduled time may be rescheduled once at no cost.

3.2 Cancellations made less than 48 hours (or no shows) forfeit the deposit.

3.3 Farm rentals and large group events require 14 days' notice for rescheduling; cancellations inside 14 days forfeit the deposit unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3.4 VDC may cancel or postpone any experience due to unsafe weather, equipment failure, illness, or force-majeure events. If VDC cancels, you may choose a full refund or a new date.

4. Participant Safety & Conduct

4.1 Safety first. All participants must follow staff instructions, wear required PPE, and sign a liability waiver before entering the forge or axe-throw area. Minors (ages 14-17) must have a parent or guardian present to sign.

4.2 VDC may refuse service to anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol or whose behavior endangers others. No refunds will be issued in that situation.

4.3 Damage to VDC property caused by negligence or misconduct will be billed to the responsible party.

4.4 You acknowledge that our experiences involve physical activity, high heat, tools, and potential risks. Participation is at your own risk.

5. Farm Rental Rules

5.1 Maximum overnight capacity, parking, noise, and fire regulations will be outlined in your rental agreement.

5.2 Alcohol is permitted only with prior written approval and proof of age-appropriate event insurance.

5.3 Client is responsible for cleanup unless a paid cleanup service is arranged.

6. Intellectual Property

All site content (text, photos, videos, logos, designs) is owned by VDC or its licensors. You may not reproduce or redistribute any content without written permission.

7. Photos & Media

By participating in any forge or farm activity, you grant Vikings Don't Cry the right to use photos or videos taken during your experience for marketing or promotional purposes, unless you request otherwise in writing.

8. Refunds

All refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. In general, refunds will not be issued for completed sessions. Partial refunds may be granted for rescheduled events that cannot be rebooked.

9. Privacy

Your privacy matters. See our Privacy Policy for details on data collection, cookies, and communication preferences.

10. Third-Party Services

Some experiences (like photo sessions) may be booked through Once Upon a Photo Studios, or through Airbnb experiences. Please refer to their individual terms for refund and privacy policies.

11. Limitation of Liability

Participation in forging, axe throwing, archery, farm activities, or use of any equipment is at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, VDC's total liability for any claim arising from your visit will not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located nearest to Madison County, NC.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our site or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
